Within the PowerPivot Data Model editor, you can also filter the data that is returned to Excel through the filtering option.
HOW TO DO IT
To can add a filter to a table in your data model, follow these steps:
- Select the drop down from the heading of the field that you want to filter on and you can either manually select the field values to filter on, or you can click on the Filters options to create a rule.
- If you create a filter rule then you will be able to update the filter conditions through the Custom Filter dialog box.
HOW IT WORKS
After applying the filter you will only see the data that matches.
